Submissions are OPEN.

BUZZCUT publishes a new issue monthly. Our submissions stay open year-round and we accept poetry, prose, and experimental/hybrid submissions. Submit your work via the form below after reading the guidelines.

We accept poetry, prose, and hybrid submissions; submit your work via the form below. We ask that the pieces are your own original work and not created using AI or materials from other writers/sources. Please include any content warnings (CW) in the allotted text box if needed. We also ask that you wait until you hear back from us to submit more work. Additionally, attach your work as a PDF or Word document (.docx). At this time, we are unfortunately unable to pay writers but hope to work towards doing so in the future.

We accept previously published work and simultaneous submissions are welcomed and encouraged. If your work is previously published, please indicate the original place of publication in the respective text box so we can properly credit the previous publication. International submissions are accepted but we ask that the pieces are mostly in English and/or include an English translation.

As a youth, POC-led magazine and in the spirit of BUZZCUT Lit’s mission to support diverse voices, we strongly encourage submissions from BIPOC, LGBTQ+, and young writers; as such, we are excited to provide free feedback of ~200 words to writers from these demographics, to be included in our response email. If applicable, use the checkbox in the form to indicate whether you would like to be given feedback.

Genre-Specific Guidelines
